Lt Col Rakinder Singh Bhatia
I, Lt Col Rakinder Singh Bhatia, attended Army Public School (APS), Hisar Military Station from 1997 to 2000, where I completed my 8th, 9th, and 10th grades. Later, I moved to APS, Chandimandir for my 11th and 12th grades, as my father was posted there.
After completing my schooling, I pursued a degree in Computer Science from MM Engineering College, Mullana, Ambala, from 2003 to 2007. During my engineering studies, I was selected by three multinational companies and also secured a spot in the University Entry Scheme of the Indian Army.
I joined the Indian Military Academy in July 2007 and was commissioned into the Corps of Signals in June 2008. With over 17 years of service in the Indian Army, I have had the opportunity to serve in high-altitude areas such as North Sikkim, Siachen Glacier, and Eastern Ladakh. Additionally, I have experience in Counter-Terrorist Operations in South Kashmir, for which I was awarded the Mention in Despatch (Gallantry).
In 2022, I completed my MTech in Computer Science from IIT Indore. Currently, I am posted at the Command Cyber Operations & Support Wing in HQ South Western Command, Jaipur.
